Gradescope Bubble Sheet Exams

Scantron services will be no longer be available after Fall term 2021. Instructors who administer bubble sheet exams/assignments can use the Gradescope bubble sheet feature. Gradescope is available to all instructors at OSU with no additional cost for students, and it is integrated with Canvas. Contact Canvas@oregonstate.edu for more information on how to get started with Gradescope.

Draft Coach

Students benefit from easy access to originality and grammar-checking tools when working on writing assignments. Turnitin’s Draft Coach is now available to all OSU students, faculty and staff from the Add-ons menu in OSU Google Docs. Users can run up to three originality checks on any OSU Google doc. Top Hat

Top Hat is Oregon State University’s centrally supported student response system. Top Hat has introduced a number of new features and updates. Take a look at what’s new in Top Hat, and join us in a workshop session in January on the new updates.

New Canvas Quizzes 

Instructure is working on their new quizzing tool, New Quizzes, to replace their classic quizzing tool next year. Oregon State University will begin offering training for faculty on New Quizzes during winter term and continuing through spring and summer. Learn more about the New Quizzes timeline from Instructure or contact Canvas@oregonstate.edu for more information on how to get started with New Quizzes in Canvas. 

Student Multimedia Services 

SMS is here to help students and faculty with digital multimedia coursework. We offer many free services to students working on academic assignments: Large Format Poster Printing;  
Media Equipment Checkout; Digital Media Studios; Peer-to-Peer Creative Media Assistance.  SMS can create customized in-class presentations to prepare your students for their project or send them to our free “Media Fundamentals Crash Course” workshops – hosted in our SMS Open Studio Space in the library.  SMS main goal for all students is to succeed in their academic projects.
